You can use rice milk, or almond milk to make futter parte deux here: http://vegangster.org/2013/01/05/best-vegan-butter-futter-parte-deux/ sub the soymilk for the other. voila.

what IS a soy allergy? people throw the word allergy around a lot these days. What happens when you eat soy, what TYPE of soy product, does eating a soybean cause this particular allergy? does tofu? there are MANY ingredients in lots of milk products, and there is only one brand i use for soymilk: westsoy UNSWEETENED. it has two ingredients: soybeans, and filtered water.

Willow Run soy margarine contains palmitate, or palmitic acid. This derives from the oil from palm trees (so it's essentially the same exact thing as palm oil - don't eat it!).

There are some vegan products that don't have palm oil in them, but we need to put pressure on the ones that do. Here's an easy way to do it, and some more info about palm oil use and companies that boycott it. http://www.onegreenplanet.org/lifestyle/guide-vegan-products-and-palm-oil/ Good luck.

You would probably have better results with hemp or almond milk. The curdling seems to work best with higher protein milks. See the section on nonvegan milk curdling here http://www.veganbaking.net/other-vegan-treats/735-vegan-butter.

Can I make dairy free buttermilk using rice milk? We have a soy alelrgy too. There's so many recipes I find that I'd like to try, but then I see they have buttermilk and I turn the page. If I could use rice milk, that would be wonderful!

she was going vegan. I was the person who was all like, Oh I could never do that. I love ceehse! . She never pressured me but constantly informed me about what I was consuming that could be veganized .Over the next few months I began reading about the entangled oppressions of humans and other animals. I had, for a long while, been a fan of Cesar Chavez and came to realize that he was a committed vegan who understood that all oppressions are connected and that violence is violence no matter who it was committed against.I already considered myself to be pro-peace and anti-oppression and I remember asking myself if I could justify consuming other animals, who were every bit as entitled to a life free of exploitation and oppression as any human being. I couldn't do it and was instantly a vegan. I donated my non-vegan clothes to others in need and immediately dropped the animal products (for lack of a better term) from my diet. Here I am three years later and I feel more and more committed to the principle of nonexploitation (veganism) every day. Not only has veganism opened my eyes to entangled oppressions of humans and other animals, it has also dramatically improved the quality of my own life in so many ways. With this renewed sense of confidence I am constantly striving to improve my life as well as the life of other beings.

Respect! Welfare rfreoms fundamentally incompatible with veganism Word!In my experience people certainly do connect with the anti-oppression (vegan) approach, no matter how much welfarist groups claim otherwise. Thanks for posting these vids!

I tlaltoy agree with this and I think this is the best way to spread the word.Respect. Love. Understanding. And patience everyone can be a better person. Each person has different needs. Talk to the individual, not to the mass.
